We have been trying to find new fun things to do with Jacob since we have been trapped inside for the winter. I was reading a friend's blog and saw some cute pictures of a birthday party at this place called Choo Choo Bob's Train Store. I looked it up and found out they had story time this last Saturday so we all went. It was a really neat place. The story teller dressed up like a conductor and read books and sang songs. Jacob was a little more entertained by the electric trains riding in the background. They also had some smaller train sets for the kids to play with. When it was time to go Jacob tried to take one of the trains home with him so we promised we would go get him a new train at another store. Jake thought it would be cheaper (for future train owners Choo Choo Bob's was actually very reasonable compared to Target and Toys R US).
Jacob helped unload all the pieces out of the box. Jake came very close to getting nailed in the face.
Dylan was our head coordinator as you can see he was sleeping on the job.
This project took us about 2-3 hours. Jake did the table and I did the train set. WOW a lot of work.
The blue station in the middle was not easy. All the individual stations, bridges and rock tunnels make different train noises as the train drives over and through them. It is triggered by the magnets on the train. Pretty Cool!
Jacob was so excited about his new train set that he would only let Jake play with one little piece.
Mommy and Dylan needed to rest after all that work.
We can't wait to have some of Jacob's friends over for a play date to enjoy the train. Choo Choo!
