We spent my 3rd Mother's Day down in Rochester with Grandpa Phil, Grandma Renee, Uncle Andy, Aunt Laura, and Uncle A.J. Unfortunately it was a colder weekend but that did not ruin the fun. Jacob enjoyed the continuous attention from Grandpa and Grandma. Grandpa bought Jacob his very 1st fishing pole. Jacob loved it and played with it all night Saturday and all day Sunday. Daddy and Grandpa already believe that Jacob is a natural and they have a future dedicated fisherman. Personally I think it is a little too soon to tell but we will see.
Here is Grandpa Phil and Jacob fishing in the boat. Grandpa wanted to take Jacob out on a real lake/river but it was too cold.
Daddy and Jacob racing their motorcycles. If you notice there are two motorcycles, one without peddles. Where there is a somewhat funny story behind this. Jacob can not reach the peddles yet and so Jake made a side comment to Grandpa about cutting off the pedals. I was not aware of this discussion until afterwards. Grandpa took this suggestion literally and cut off the pedals and threw them in the garbage. Well Jacob did not like this at all and got really sad, grabbed the pedals out of the garbage and asked Grandpa to put them back on. Jacob's heart was truly broken about his motorcycle being broke and that Grandpa couldn't fix it. Grandpa realized that Jacob was not going to be happy until he replaced his motorcycle with the exact same one. So the boys headed to the store and bought a new one. I don't think Grandpa will live down this story for a while.
