Well we are still trying to get Jacob healthy. The last week has been rough on the little guy especially at night. A few weeks ago he started out with a little cold that developed into a nasty cough, a left ear infection with a double eye (pink-eye) infection. As the time has gone on he has had a never ending cough and runny nose. Two weeks we brought him for a follow-up: the pink eye was gone, ear infection went from one ear to both and still has the never ending cough and runny nose. Last week we had to bring him in for wheezing and trouble breathing so they prescribed a nebulizer (3x a day/15 mins each time). Today we had to bring him in again because he is still pulling on his ears, his eyes are getting pussy again and still the never ending cough and runny nose. The doctor believes that after all this Jacob has allergies, he said his double ear infection was so bad that an adult wouldn't be able to hear out of their ear with that much puss in it and his nose is so plugged up with mucus. He prescribed him an oral steroid, a shot of antibiotics (with laticane) for allergies, and we need to continue the nebulizer . He had to get a shot in each leg and that didn't go well. It seemed very painful and as the day is going on he hasn't liked putting weight on his muscles from the injections. We have to take him back tomorrow to see if the shots helped and if not he will need another round of shots. Keep your fingers crossed the shot is working. POOR LITTLE GUY! With a sick child and the holidays I have been very busy. We are starting to countdown to the day of the arrival of our 2nd son. He is due on January 15, 2010 but could come any day now. My last doctor's appointment was last Tuesday and I am dilated to a 1, 75% effaced, and the baby is at a -2 stage with his head down. I have an appointment this Tuesday and can't wait to hear the progress I have made. I have been having lots of contractions and am ready. I just have a few items to get and a couple of things to do around the house in preparation. Come soon our little guy!
