I thought it would be fun to capture what Jacob is doing these days (this will probably be one of my largest posts):
- Jacob loves to dance and will dance at the dinner table while eating, in his car seat, or around the room. Here are a few of his favorites to dance to (Black Eyed Peas song “Boom Boom Pow” song, Sesame Street’s video “I’m a little airplane”, Blue’s Clue’s mail song. The song playing when you open the blog is the “Boom Boom Pow” song.
- Loves Blue’s Clues videos and repeatedly asks to watch a “moo moo”. He can say movie but has resorted to saying “moo moo”.
- Jacob loves cooking with our pots and pans. I took a storage bin and turned it upside done and made a pretend stove. He uses are cooking utensils and large legos as the food. To hear the video, click pause on the song to the left of the post, under "Boom Boom Pow".
- He likes taking bubble baths and if any of his books have bubbles on the pages he points them out and says “Bub-bees”.
- He started eating at the table on a booster seat and is doing great.
- He is repeating everything you say right now, we need to be extra careful with what we say.
- Helps with diaper changes (he used to fight them!). He will get the diaper and hand it to you and then will lay down. He will sometimes lift his butt or hold his legs in the air, tries to help you wipe and put powder on him. As he is trying to put powder on himself he will say “sh-sh-sh”, that is his pouring sound.
- When Jacob gave the cats a kiss I would say “So nice”. So now he is kissing the cats and animals in books and saying “Niece”.
- Jacob has become Evil Knieval by piling pillows and blankets next to the couch or ottoman chair and then will jump off the couch or the arm of the chair. It scares me greatly! He will sometimes do it with out the pillows and blankets.
- The last couple of days he has wanted his blanket after he wakes up. This is a first - up until now he hasn’t had a favorite animal, toy, or blanket. His blanket is a beautiful quilt, his Great Aunts Jean and Faye made for him.
- Newest word he has been saying: “Gargou” for garbage.
- Loves to tickle and say “ticole”.
- He is constantly telling you to “move”When he wants to sit on your lap he says “lap”
