This post is about my cousin Bailey Tickal. Bailey is 9 years old and needs a kidney and liver transplant. She was born with idiopathic polysystic kidney disease. Her grandma gave her a kidney when she was 2, but that one is getting tired and she needs a new one. She will have to start going to dialysis 3 to 4 times a week in Iowa City to keep her alive until she's ready for the operation.
They live in Mason City so this is going to be quite a drive (almost 3 hours), you can't get dialysis for a child in Mason City. She will need to go to Iowa City at least 3 times a week.
