Jake and the boys found some turtles. They brought them home and put them in a 20 gallon tank. After about twenty minutes we had the entire neighborhood of kids at our house checking them all out.

Every Christmas we hang a wreath on our front door and then leave it up during the spring so a bird can build a next in it. This year a family of red finches built a next and laid 5 eggs.
In the blurry picture below are the baby birds.
The boys loved seeing the eggs and the baby birds grow. They flew away this last Saturday.
We will definitely do this again next spring.
