Forty-six years ago on May 6, 1965 the Twin Cities area was hit with five tornadoes with the sixth outside of the metro in one day. These tornadoes are still considered the worst tornadoes in history to hit the Twin Cities. Four of them were a F4, 1 a F3 and 1 a F2. Fridley the city I live in was hit twice by two F4s. The city including the previous house that stood at my address was destroyed. This is the picture of what the City of Fridley looked like after two tornadoes hit it.
Then in September of 2005 we were hit with very strong wings and after we emerged from the basement this is what we saw:
Our neighbor's house
Our neighbor's across the street
Our front yard
and our backyard.

Then two weeks ago on Sunday, May 22, 2011 we were hit with a tornado. Here is a picture of the tornado that hit Fridley..and to think for the first time I almost ignored the tornado warning.
